Endoscopy For Pets

An endoscope is a small handheld camera at the end of a tube which can be inserted into a patients body. This allows us to examine internal organs with minimal effect that we might see if doing exploratory surgery. You can also use an endoscope to take tissue samples and remove small objects without the need for surgery.

Should your cat or dog require an endoscopy, we will typically use a general anaesthetic to keep them relaxed and still. Your pet will then spend the day with us to monitor their recovery.

This state-of-the-art technology set-up can provide with confidence that Companion Animal Surgery puts the interests of your pets first & foremost; we are always in line with the mindsets of pet lovers.
